About
LandlordSquare is a set of free tools for small landlords. The first tool, Notices, helps landlords in New York and New Jersey prepare the notices they need most, correctly formatted, with the deadlines calculated and the law behind each rule linked.
Why we built it
Small landlords lose time, and sometimes cases, over notices: a wrong count of days, a missing attachment, a fee that shouldn't be in a rent demand. The big form sites cover every document in every state. We focus on doing a few notices in two states well.
How we keep it accurate
- Rules come from the statute text and official court and agency pages, linked on every notice page.
- Anything we could not confirm from an official source is left out or marked "check with an attorney."
- The New York Good Cause notice is reproduced from the text of Real Property Law § 231-c.
What it costs
Free during beta. If we add paid features later, prices will be shown before you pay.
Not legal advice. LandlordSquare is a self-help document tool, not a law firm. Using it does not create an attorney-client relationship, and we don't guarantee that any notice is legally sufficient for your situation. Laws change. You are responsible for checking the current law, your lease and local rules, and for serving the notice correctly. When in doubt, talk to a licensed attorney in your state.
